Lake Quinault Elementary School has launched its Highly Capable Program to provide opportunities to engage and challenge students that are identified for this program through academic performance or when referred by a teacher, parent, or other community member. From there, further evaluation takes place to ensure the student is a good fit for the program. Students for this program come from all walks of life and different populations. In addition, any person can refer a student to the program. With parent/guardian permission, further screening can take place (click the links below to view detailed information and forms).

The Testing and Referral Window for 2024-2025 has closed. Check back in September 2025 for information regarding the 2025-2026 for the Highly Capable Screening and Testing schedule. We are working to expand this program elementary-wide next year.
