New Elk Statue Installed at Lake Quinault School— A Gift from the Class of 2023

Lake Quinault School District is proud to announce the installation of a new elk statue in the front of our school, generously donated by the graduating Class of 2023. This majestic addition stands as a lasting tribute to the class’s deep connection to the region’s natural beauty and rich traditions.

The elk, a powerful symbol of strength, resilience, and the Quinault Valley’s unique wildlife, was chosen by the Class of 2023 to represent their time at Lake Quinault School and their bond with the surrounding community. With thoughtful planning and fundraising efforts, the class came together to make this lasting legacy possible.

“The elk has always been a part of who we are out here,” said one class member. “We wanted to leave something behind that honors our roots and gives future students a sense of pride in where they come from.”

Now proudly displayed outside the school, the statue has already become a favorite photo spot for visitors and a source of inspiration for students and staff alike.

The district extends heartfelt thanks to the Class of 2023 for their meaningful contribution and enduring school spirit.
