The start of a new school year brought excitement, smiles and a strong sense of community to the Lake Quinault School District as students, families and community members gathered for a special open house celebration.
We welcomed our New Principal Mr. Kenney who has been apart of this amazing community teaching for many many years! A man we all know with great character, fun loving and enthusiastic about teaching and caring for the community here at Lake Quinault.
One of the highlights of the event was the ribbon cutting for the district's new book vending machine donated by Save the Children. The new resource is designed to encourage students to develop a love of reading and make books easily accessible to children throughout the school year.
Guests enjoyed the Quinault drummers as they provided a memorable cultural performance that helped make the celebration especially meaningful.
The event was also documented by the Daily World, which came out to capture the event and highlight the community support surrounding Lake Quinault students and families.
More than simply marking the first days of school, the open house showcased what makes the Lake Quinault School District special — a community coming together to support its children.
With music, food, games, books and plenty of smiles, the celebration offered a joyful start to the new school year and a reminder that educating children is truly a community effort.
